The Electricity Generation Company (Malawi) Limited is informing its stakeholders and the general public that it is conducting a disinfection exercise at its Head Office, Chayamba building as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

In order to allow for this exercise, its Chayamba Building offices will be temporarily closed from Wednesday, 13th January 2021 to Sunday, 17th January 2021. The offices will be opened on Monday, 18th January 2021.

All stakeholders are being informed that on the days that the offices will be closed, all EGENCO employees from the head office will be working from home. Therefore, stakeholders are being encouraged to use other forms of communication such as phone calls, emails and online meeting tools to contact EGENCO staff regarding any work.

EGENCO would like to assure its stakeholders that despite these changes, it will ensure that service delivery is not affected.
EGENCO cares for the lives of its employees, their families and stakeholders. Therefore, it considers provision of a healthy and safe working environment very crucial in its operations.

EGENCO sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this disinfection exercise and the subsequent temporary closure of its head office building may cause.
