EGENCO’s Chief Executive Officer, William Liabunya, said the process of upgrading the power station has already started.

“A feasibility study of the upgrade of the power station is already at an advanced stage. The consultant working on it will be able to submit a final paper on it shortly.” Said Liabunya.

While commending Wovwe as one of the most efficient power stations, Minister of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining, Honourable Binton Kutsaira, MP, who is also a   member of the cabinet committee, hailed the initiative to upgrade the power station and directed that the works should be hastened.
