LIKOMA AND CHIZUMULU LINESMEN TRAINED IN DISTRIBUTION NETWORK OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
Linesmen from Likoma and Chizumulu Islands on Friday, 28 March 2025 concluded a 10-day refresher training aimed at enhancing their knowledge and skills in operating and maintaining the electricity distribution network on the Islands to ensure efficient and reliable power supply.
Martin Kamaliza, a linesman at Likoma said the training has equipped them in doing their work.
“We have gained skills that make us confident in doing our work.” Said Kamaliza.
Anetta Banda, EGENCO’s Training Officer who closed the training said the Company is committed in training and investing in its human resource to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Electricity Generation Company (Malawi) Limited (EGENCO) is responsible for both generation and distribution of electricity on Likoma and Chizumulu Islands.
