EGENCO USHERS IN 159 NEW INTERNS

EGENCO officially oriented 159 newly recruited interns and apprentices during a two-day program held on 26th and 27th June 2025 at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre, where they were introduced to the company’s operations, values, and expectations.

Speaking during the event, EGENCO’s Gender and Social Inclusion Manager, Doreen Kavala emphasized the importance of professionalism, discipline, and inclusivity during the internship period.

“This is more than just an internship, it is an opportunity for you to grow, learn, and align yourselves with the values of integrity, teamwork, and excellence that define EGENCO,” said Kavala.

On 27th June, the interns and apprentices toured Nkula Power Station to familiarize themselves with EGENCO’s core operations in power generation. The visit offered practical insights into the company’s hydroelectric power production processes and the role EGENCO plays in Malawi’s energy sector.

The interns tour Nkula Power Station as part of their orientation program, gaining first-hand experience of the company’s power generation operations.
