This is an 18MW hydro power plant being constructed at Tedzani Power Station.
Construction of the power plant started in July 2017 and is scheduled to be completed in September 2021. Once commissioned, Tedzani IV will increase Tedzani Power Station’s power generation capacity from 102MW to 120MW.
The Tedzani IV Power Plant is being built with a US$52 million grant assistance from the Japanese Government through the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with EGENCO contributing US$4.8million (MK6.5billion).
