Videlia Mluwira is a Legal Practitioner by profession having graduated from the University of Malawi Chancellor College with an Upper Second Class Degree in Law in 2005. She holds a Master’s Degree (with Distinction) in Commercial Law from the same UNIMA obtained in 2015.

Videlia is also a Chartered Company Secretary having qualified with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK) in 2014 and became a Fellow of the Institute in 2019.

Videlia Mluwira is currently the Director of Corporate Services and Company Secretary for the Electricity Generation Company Malawi Limited. She has worked in the banking sector in the past 13 years mainly as Company Secretary, Heading Legal departments and Compliance. These areas have their specialty in Corporate Governance thereby utilizing her Chartered Corporate Governance qualification.

She has had a short stint as a Private Practice legal Practitioner at Knight & Knight Legal firm with a major achievement of being part of the team that represented Francis Kafantayeni in challenging the mandatory death sentence in Malawi which saw the removal of Mandatory death sentence in Malawi.
