EGENCO EXCITED TO BUILD THE NEXT GENERATION OF ENGINEERS

The Electricity Generation Company (Malawi) Limited (EGENCO) says it is excited to collaborate with Universities in Malawi in building the next generation of engineers. This was said by EGENCO’s Chief Maintenance Engineer for Tedzani Power Station, Benard Kanyika, during the 2025 Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) Annual Engineering Symposium that was held on 12th April at Lotus Hotel in Blantyre.

“We already provide university scholarships and internship opportunities to engineering students at our power stations. We are looking forward to collaborating more with universities to develop upcoming engineers.” Said Kanyika.

The event brought together students, academics, industry experts, and policymakers under the theme “Engineering Tomorrow: Innovation for a Sustainable and Smart Future.” EGENCO sponsored the symposium with One-million kwacha.
