Shadreck Chado
Acting Director of Operations
Shadreck Chado is a highly experienced Engineer with 30 years of expertise in power generation operations, management and implementation of engineering projects within Malawi’s power sector. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Robert Gordon University – Aberdeen Business School (UK) and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malawi.
Shadreck has risen through the ranks of Malawi’s power sector, having held key technical and leadership positions at all major hydropower stations including Kapichira, Nkula, Tedzani, and Wovwe. As Power Station Manager, he led operational teams, managed the running of hydropower generation systems and oversaw the rehabilitation and modernization of power plants critical to national electricity supply.
Shadreck has also played an integral role in shaping EGENCO’s strategic direction, contributing to corporate strategy, business planning, operational management and policy formulation.
As Acting Director of Operations, Shadreck brings a wealth of deep industry knowledge, engineering expertise, and strong leadership to drive efficient, effective and reliable power generation operations.
