a) Scope: The project entails procurement and installation of 6MW of the Peaking Diesel Generation Sets for Mzuzu
b) Impact: Project will provide additional capacity for peaking, standby and for system voltage improvement.
c) Progress: The progress of the project is as detailed in the Table below:
Progress to date
| - Contract signed for Mzuzu 6MW plant, machine designs approved and manufacturing in progress.
- Civil works Contractor Mobilized in April 2017 Civil works in progress with foundations for the Gensets base slabs and Control Room.
- Factory Acceptance Test was successfully done in June 2017.
- Additional Civil works cost was approved in June 2017.
