TEDZANI IV PROJECT TAKING SHAPE

The construction of 19.5MW
Tedzani IV project is taking shape at Tedzani Power Station. EGENCO CEO William
Liabunya toured the project and was impressed with the works done so far. He
was particularly impressed that EGENCO’s part of the contract, which is
supplying Cement and Steel bars, has been consistent making the contractor’s
work smooth and fine. Tedzani IV project is funded by the Japanese Government
grant through JICA and the Malawi Government is also making a contribution
through EGENCO. Unlike Tedzani I and II which are housed in the same power
house, this project will involve construction of a separate power house.
Tedzani IV construction was launched on 4 April 2018 and is expected to be
completed by December 2021.
